AutoCAD II Basics

Modifying Commands:

All the commands you would use to control your elements. The ones you would be using the most are: Move, Copy, Trim, Extend, Erase to name a few.

Properties:

The ones that are easy to recognize are color, the linetype, the line thickness. There's generally a lot of properties that control elements but these usually are controlled afterwards using layers.

Layers:

One of the handiest features of Autocad and one that make digital drafting beats hand-drafting. Allows to control the properties of several elements together (walls layer, doors layer, annotations layer).

Groups & Blocks:

This feature allows you to bundle elements together in a block and reuse it easily over and over inside the same project or across different projects.
